Definitely relationships are complicated and none is more complicated than the relationship with an ex.
If you try to cultivate friendship or cut that person in your life, there is always that nagging thought: «What if we can be together again?» These are the reasons that probably back with your ex:
1. Familiarity.
You and your ex share a story. In fact they have had good times and (obviously) bad times. Grew up together for a certain amount of time and almost nobody knows you quite like your ex.
He or she knows about his favorite movie, favorite food and friends. All time shared precious moments and lessons learned were awesome, so now going to throw that to the trash? Nope.
2. Start from scratch.
Now you have to start all over again. Imagine playing a game that has no option to save your progress. You get to the final level after having years of meticulous dedication and suddenly BAM! Lose it all and have to start all over again.

Probably to make changes in your life, your ex knows why it’s important to you and why you have to, and he or she is not going to try to convince you otherwise, because he knows the importance of this change.
4. The comfort.
Have you ever thrown a fart you on a first date? Well, does not look too good, does it? Have you ever thrown a fart you when you were with your ex? It’s no big deal! Sometimes even that is pretty funny.
Your ex knows how to make you feel comfortable, and you know that you feel comfortable around you. What if you wear a dirty shirt and your favorite jeans from school? Your ex knows what makes you feel happy and comfortable – and how you want to see.
5. The loneliness.
Now you broke the relationship, you have no one to discuss your ideas. You have no one who can talk about working with you. You have no one to tell the story of your day or as I was.
Your ex is who listened to your stupid stories about the work and the crazy bum you saw on the street or the story of your fellow surrealist work, like the biggest stories of the century. Now, you have no one to talk to about it.
6. To get back with your ex, you still remember how he or she is.
This well’re alone or alone for a while, right? But there must be something about the person that you liked. That crinkle in your nose or how he or she would laugh?
They were together for a reason and they liked each other at some point, so what is stopping you liking that person again? Almost anything (except for the reason that they broke).
You probably realize that your ex was awesome and makes you feel happy, and eventually drag that feeling that you want to get back with your ex. One thing leads to another and BOOM! You’re back in again, happy relationship as can be.
Remember it is not your fault; sometimes people make mistakes and break the connection when in fact they have to. Maybe, just what they needed was time for a breath.
